Success -- well mostly

I have been using SMF for quite sometime but never really dug into it until now.

This tinyportal thing is cool and something I have been in need of.  After a couple false starts today I have managed to get things started at http://www.wiifo.com/ which makes me feel pretty good.  Would have gone smoother except the documentation seems scattered here and there and took forever to figure why my articles weren't displaying (may be a little bug as they showed up as soon as there was a post to display on the frontpage).

There are several things I don't understand and a few that don't seem to work exactly right but all in all nice stuff.

There are some article bugs in TP V.086, But many of them were solved in the update pack for the same version. That you can find in the downloadsection here.
Some minor things is also improved in the next release (TP.V0.9? or what Bloc will name the next release) and a very much fun and better layout you can choose from.
As you perhaps know, All releases in here are still beta, so some errors will be there, just like the SMF 1.1rc2 the TP.V.o86 and the releases up to TP.V1.0 will be betas to. So basicly, you are a betatester when you use the TP that you find for download here right now.

Some preview of how the new TP looks you can see both here with Blocs layout of this site, and on my site where i have TP V.091 with Felines modifications installed.

Yea, I caught the beta thing.  Like the concept and not using on any critical apps -- wana play with it.  Have the idea of using TP to  revamp of my formmail script site which has an active support forum going on.  Need frontpage + documentation page + forum with the download thing.  The way I do it now is a cludge.

The new release that are coming have a great handling of the articles and how to present them on the frontpage.
There are numerous ways of how to show the articles, and posts from forum on the frontpage

And both Bloc and Feline are constant building and improving the scripts and the futures to. Both of them are listening to the needs of the users here and trying to get the TinyPortal to be what we want it to be
