Converting from XOOPS to Tiny Portal

Is there a moderately easy way to convert from XOOPS to Tiny Portal/SMF without losing my members and posted articles and news?

My forum isn't active so that's not a concern right now.

I don't see a conversion tool at SMF for converting from Xoops to SMF. So I'm guessing that it won't be easy, if possible at all.

I'm not sure if this will work as I've never used Xoops. But can you uninstall it to leave youself just SMF? If so, you will be able to add TP then. You might loose some atricles, etc.

On the other hand you might just have to cut your losses and start over.

I'd ask at SMF to see if there is a way to uninstall Xoops and go back to SMF on its own. If you can, do that, then run the latest SMF upgrade to make sure you have a clean set of files before adding TP.

Sorry, best I can do. But do back up anything before making ANY changes in case it doesn't work (files and Database).
