Display Recent Posts & Latest Member On Index Of The Main Page

i want to make the most recent member and the most recent posts on the forums to show on the main page of my site on the index.htm/php not on the first page of the forum , could anyone help me out?

i know its a ssi function like ssi_recentposts or ssi_latestmember but i dont know what code to put into the web page

If you haven't deleted it you can just go to yoururl/yourforumfolder/ssi_examples.php and that will give you full instructions (with the correct urls to use) to use the different ssi functions available.Ã,  If you have deleted it then you could just re-upload it long enough to get what you need.

thanks but i still cant get it to work , i've tryed loads of different things but this is the one i started vvith and i keep getting errors , more help vvould be greatfull , thanks
