I am trying to make it 777 but it just reverts back to 644.

How can I make this work?

:'(

Have u get the right permission ? What program do u using with, MitchÃ,â,,¢ ?
Try flashfxp or direct use the PHP admin by via Cpanel in your server

IchBin

This is probably something your host is forcing on you. If you chmod a file 777, and then notice it gets changed back I would assume your host has the server setup to not allow you to chmod certain files 777.

uh, right !
Try CHMOD to 775 or 755, usually it's better than 777Ã,  ;D

IchBin: I have never had trouble CHMOD'ing things in the past especially a index.php file.

elpvn: I am using Ipswitch WS_FTP Proffesional
I will try the 775
And well I dont know I think something is wrong cause I go into cpanel and its fine but I go to Fantastico and its soo slow I mean look at this:

IchBin

Something definately is going wacky there. I would see how it is tomorrow. Maybe there is problems on the server.

For best, do not CHMOD your index.php to 777 !

Mitchâ„¢

To IchBin: Ya 140 Seconds and it still wasnt loaded!

elpvn: Why? What is wrong with doing that?

Mitchâ„¢

Mitchâ„¢

Welp today is a new day but I am still having problems.

Error in SmartFTP:
[09:29:25] SITE CHMOD 775 index.php
[09:29:25] 550 Could not change perms on index.php: Bad file descriptor

Error in Ipswitch WS_FTP:
It doesnt give me an error it just reverts back too 644.

Folder properties go like this:
folder/subfolder/subfolder/file
777 /   775    /   755    /644
