Hi

This is small thing...

For the latest TP beta, I notice that in Firefox, the recent topics display is quite cramped, with little spacing between the different posts, making it difficult to distinguish between them.
In comparison, in IE, there is better spacing

Just wondering if this is just down to the browsers, or something to do with the way TP is displaying

thanks

Bjørn

yes, I have noticed too..Firefox is in fact the intended one, but IE add styles from other elements I think, making it abit more spaced-out.

Thanks for the quick reply Bloc.

Is there any way of spacing things a bit more for FF?

sorry for hassling you with such a minor style thing, but my users are a bit dopey  ;)

Well, you could adjust it a little ..if you look at TPortalBlocks.template.php, you need to find this:

    // Output the topics
    foreach($what as $w){
            echo '<span class="smalltext"><a href="'.$w['href'].'"> '.$w['time'];
            if(!$w['new'])
               echo ' <img border="0" src="'.$settings['images_url'].'/'.$context['user']['language'].'/new.gif" alt="new" />';

           echo '<br />'.$w['short_subject'].'</a></span><hr style="background-color: #c0c0c0;margin: 0px; " />';
    }

And try something like this:
    // Output the topics
    foreach($what as $w){
            echo '<div style="padding-top: 4px; padding-bottom: 4px;" class="smalltext"><a href="'.$w['href'].'"> '.$w['time'];
            if(!$w['new'])
               echo ' <img border="0" src="'.$settings['images_url'].'/'.$context['user']['language'].'/new.gif" alt="new" />';

           echo '<br />'.$w['short_subject'].'</a></div><hr style="background-color: #c0c0c0;margin: 0px; " />';
    }

just experiment with the padding values there. I am not sure how it will look in IE, but try it and see how it goes.
