I would like to integrate the spell checker there is here a thread about this subject.

Thank you

G6Cad

The spell check is allready builded in.
You activate it from your Admin/Forum/PostSettings.
But you must have a host that support the spellchecker to get it to work though.

AVainberg

How can I verify that I have spell support. Is my server and I have root access.

G6Cad

You have to ask your host if they support it
QuoteEnable spell checking. You MUST have the pspell library installed on your server and your PHP configuration set up to use the pspell library.

If you go back to the settings for the spellcheck, Klick on the small questionmark, and it tell you if you have suport for the checker, and what you need to have installed on the server :)

IchBin

You can also open up a php page in your site with this code and it will tell you if pspell or aspell is installed.

<?php
phpinfo
();
?>

If you have root access and you're running a distro that uses rpm's you can use this command to see if its installed.

rpm -q aspell

G6Cad

That info was really good ;) Added to the infobank :D

AVainberg

I have aspell to my luck. Thank you.

I was having this problem with my host in the beginning.  They kept telling me that they did have it enabled.   If you also encounter this do a search at smf and there is a post somewhere that [Unknown] made that tells you exactly how they need it for it to work correctly for you.    Hope this helps.  Tick.
