Tiny Potral install error on SMF 1.0.7

I used PuTTy to access my server and run the program from root. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
(in your SimpleMachine main folder)

All you need to do is put that file in the same place that you see your Sources & Themes folder. Then point your browser to the address so that it will access that file and run it. Something like http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/install.php

I'm accessing from a remote server, I didn't know you could actually install things on ftp. I opened the "1139149106manual_tp_install" file in my directory and it came up with a screen saying 'TinyPortalÂÃ,´s table structure is now installed/updated.' I don't know if that means it worked or not.. I'm doing the coding thing but it's so tedious. You have anything where I can just copy and paste the index, I haven't installed anything in smf, this is brand new install. I tried before and got syntax errors..

Oh okay, so I think step 2 worked. Just need to do coding without syntax errors..

If it is a fresh install, I am not sure why we're doing manual. It should have been simpler to have uploaded to your package directory, then installed with the package manager. You shouldn't have to do manual installs until you have a couple of mods already done.

I get about 4 hours of sleep per day - if I didn't knock off when I did, you certainly wouldn't want me helping you install anything....

Oh I am stuck I'm so terribly stuck hopping from this to that everywhere my heads going spacko! No I haven't succeeded in installing 1.1RC1 or anything for the past couple hours..
