Anyone know how to solve this thorny problem ?

not possible to get it with all four operators...not under those conditions

Yes, just use 4 based operations ( + - x / )Ã,  but not-must get it with all four operators, so you can using some of themÃ,  to get result 24 :)

Ok, then this:

8/3*8+3=24.3333333 round down to 24
matter of fact...just about any way I can think of ends up with a .333333 decimal...lol

What a lot of folks come up with is 8ÃÆ'ââ,¬â€8ÃÆ'Ã,·3+3 which produces the same result yours does.
