I have been reading a lot here sense the first time I registerd here.

One thing I have read a lot about is all the mods and implent them into SMF and TinyPortal.

One thing i think is difficult with all those mods are the fact of removing them from the scripts when they dont work or you even got tired of them. All mods add stings and bits and paces of codes into vital folders of the forum and portal.
Even if you decide to remove the mods, and use the tools in the package manager, you still have the strings left in the files, and those strings can make a lot of errors to other things that you need.

Is it possible to make some sort of tool to put in TinyPortal or somwhere else that clean up the codestrings that are left behind of all those mods?
Today i have been looking over a lot of folders, and I have seen a lot of my "test" mods still in the files even after i removed them and deleted the mod.
Google bot, autozigs and more. I guess that the strings no longer used by the forum and portal can mess things up a lot when you want to try other things.

So i think some sort of cleaner mod could be usefull, is this possible?  :o

Technically G6, the mod should remove itself completely (including all the code and files). If it doesn't, this needs to be brought to the mod developers attention.

The simplest and most clean way to erase all mods, is too simply upload the UPGRADE package for your SMF version, run upgrade.php and then just re-apply TP in package manager.Since it will find the old data tables anyway, nothing is lost, and you have a clean installation again.

Other themes than default that have been "modded" needs to be updated with their pure TP versions again of course.

Then, of course, you'd need to redo your existing mods, also - something which isn't too difficult.
