Recently probably after updating the forum to version 2.1.6 I'm getting lots of Tiny Portal-related errors like:
"simplexml_load_string(): ^" and "simplexml_load_string(): Entity: line 1: parser error : Document is empty" hundreds like these. As far as I see all are related to one line of code: "/home/username/public_html/forum/Sources/TPSubs.php (Line 1738).
$xml = simplexml_load_string($data);Not sure why this is happening or what to do about. I have the latest version 3.0.2 installed of Tiny Portal having upgraded over time from a number of versions.

I should add that when I disable the RSS feed block on the forum and re-enable it for a while there are no errors. Lasted a few hours that last time I did this and then the errors started back up later in the day. I did the same today and so far no new errors.

The RSS feed is: https://feeds.feedburner.com/greatlakesbass/bbfz

I'm just running testing that rss feed on one of my test sites, no errors yet though.  I take the errors only start after a period of time or when certain conditions are met?

Because of the various upgrades your site has gone through, I wonder if it's worth you creating a new rss block and turning the old one off for a while and see what happens.

I can do that. I can't figure out the conditions that are causing it as far as a pattern. Now the same errors for a different feedburner feed started showing up in smaller numbers on another forum I upgraded from 2.0... to now 2.1.6. The errors go away for a while after I disable and re-enable the RSS feeds. I will create a new block and see what happens. Thanks

Providing you're running PHP 8.0 I think or greater this should silence the error.

$xml = simplexml_load_string($data) ?? '';
That's two single quotes.

Its data is an empty string so nothing was returned.
