First post from Random topics from selected Categories/Boards

Guys,

I know it might have been coded before but somehow I'm not able to get it.

My Forum version is 2.0.13, I tried couple of scripts from JP-Deni but couldn't get what I wanted.
I need a script to show random number of posts for frontpage ideally in 2 columns.

For example the frontpage should display 30 posts (1st post from each random topic).
Topics should be selected randomly from specific categories/boards.

Kindly direct me to the correct thread that has a similar code snippet...

Thanks all

Have you tried this block code?  http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=33286.msg282305#msg282305

Sorry for late reply.  I have messaged Freddy who supplied the block code you're using to see if he can help, Not had a reply as yet.
