Hi dunks, some strange things going on there methinks.  When I first visited your site it was like you'd just installed TP or something, the theme was all shifted to the left hand side of the screen, and menu was vertical in stead of horizontal.  Refreshed the page and it sorted itself out.

You have no idea why this error started happening, any new mods or edits made just before?  Or edited or added a block?

I do realise your version of TP is outdated now, but If the error has only just started then I guess we can ignore that for now.

No mods installed for month's, ive just looked in the database and every file associated with Tp seems to  have been modified today, although im the only only with access to the database and I wasnt online at the time it says it was modified, although the site runs fine, Im concerned about the amount of error messages and the effects it can have or the threat that someone maybe trying to hack my site

Well I've got say it looked almost like when you install TP for the first time,, are you sure no one has messed with it?

Im 100% certain as Im the only one with cpanel log in details

And you're the only admin on the site?

Quite a few of the mods installed are outdated and could be causing conflicts with TP and/or other mods or smf itself. Any errors in the Forum Error Log?

If you haven't touched your files, and you are the only one with access I'd contact your host immediately to make sure your site hasn't been compromised. Please attach your TPsubs.php file.

Also go into the server settings in SMF admin and turn template eval off. The error will likely change and show a different filename and line number.

dunks,

The first 11 lines in that file should be ...

<?php
/****************************************************************************
* TPSubs.php *
*****************************************************************************
* TP version: 1.0 RC2 *
* Software Version: SMF 2.0 *
* Founder: Bloc (http://www.blocweb.net) *

Compare that to the first 12 lines in the file that you attached and you will see the problem.

So, yes, I would say that your site has been hacked and other files could be compromised as well, including non-TP files.  Until further notice, I would consider every php file on your site suspect.  As Ichbin mentioned, your host should be able to find out when and how this might have happened but I would download and check every php file on your site to find out if the problem is widespread or just limited to that one file.  I didn't look at the whole file that you attached but that first line is definitely where the problem is.
