SMFPacks Shoutbox not displayed on frontpage

Hi,

here the environment:

SMF version: SMF 2.0.2
TP version: TP 1.0.4
Default Forum Language: German
Theme name and version: Firebrick
Mods installed: SMFPacks Shoutbox [and more]

First the issue:
I would like to see the shoutbox as well on the frontpage. Unfortunately the shoubox displays only based on actions-variable. As the frontpage does not have such an action the shoutbox is not shown. Any idea on how to add an action for the frontpage?

I have no idea how that mod works. Sorry. You'd have to do major changes to TP to make the front page act as an additional action in SMF.

Welcome to TinyPortal.

I don't think that Mod is even supported by the author anymore but someone made a post about how to use an iframe with a previous version of that ShoutBox which would work in a block set to show only on the FrontPage of your site.  If that doesn't work then you will just have to ask the author how to do it.

Hey ZarPrime,

thanks for you answer. Yes, the mod seams not to be supported anymore, nevertheless it is a good mod.
The proposal to put the popup-version of the shoutbox into a iframe works, but is not 100% wokring with the collapsing...

Still looking to for a way to cancel the dependency on the action...
