Is it possible to include or add  image in the left bar below the "DiscussionBoards" section or the UsersOnline section?

Yes, you need to open up BoardIndex.template.php and simply insert it there. Where do you need it? Under DiscussionsBoards or UserOnline?

It will probably best under DiscussionBoards.  Or rather in-between DiscussionBoards and UsersOnline.  Thanks!
