display latest, highest rated articles on blocks.
display certain category article on blocks

i really need these features.. anyone have any idea if smf with tinyportal is capable of this?

Any time you allow guests to post information you are risking being a spam magnet. Also, not to mention make sure you never give the ability to post HTML in articles to anyone you don't trust. HTML can be used to exploit your site and even steal username and passwords. With that said...

Yes guest and members can submit articles.

display latest, highest rated articles on blocks.

If it doesn't exist, the code can be written to display highest rated articles in a block.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. We do have a block that lists the articles in a category. IS that what you are saying?

thank you.. i am trying to switch between portamx to tinyportal but is experiencing problems right now.  do u know if its possible for articles to be published to facebook?

There are bookmark links that display on the bottom of the articles that allow you to share things to those social sites. Take a look at the bottom of the article on our front page.
