Shout box redirects to forum index

Hallo!
I wanted to put the shout box in a specific board but i encountered a problem:
When i kick "shout", the shout is submitted but the page is redirected to forum index.

I have tried to put the block in several places but without change.
I have deselected the "friendly URLs" from administration but then the shout redirects to portal start page.
I tried this solution without success: http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=33996.0 
Even when i have the shout box in the forum index (down in the page), after the click it goes to the top of the page.

I have tried to duplicate your problem on a test site but I can't get it to do what you are seeing.  For me, after the shout, the page refreshes to the same page that the shoutbox is on, even when I have the Shoutbox set to show only in one board.  If you would like me to take a look at it on your site, please setup a test account with Admin rights and PM me the information so that I can look at it (don't post the info here, send me a PM).  Here's what I need to look at it ...

This is normal behavior.  When you shout, the page will refresh and thus end up at the top of the page.

You say that the the page refresh take us in the top of the page is a normal behavior. You have right. I just realized that this happens in this site here too. But absolutely "normal" i could not characterize a such behavior. The only way to be the shout box ergonomic is to put it in a block somewhere near the top of the page.

Because I don't like to have the shout box in the top, i decided to not have a shout box in my site.
But I hold your post if i change my mind in the future.

Your choice.  The only way to keep a shout from refreshing the page is to add an Ajax function to the Shoutbox module.  This is planned for a future version of TinyPortal but that won't happen for awhile.
