Hey, no problem.  Cancer is actually one of the 12 zodiac constellations, located between Gemini and Leo.  It is Latin for Crab and there are obvious reasons why the word was used to indicate diseases.  In any case, it is my favorite sign of the zodiac, mostly because I like the symbol for it, which looks like this -->
