Same problem for me.
What worked on vers 0.98 does not work anymore for setting the home page, with articles ("papers", maybe).
The TP admin pages are almost blank and unuseful. No way to have the articles on home page.
SMF1.1.14 and TP 1.0 RC2

Support Edit:  This topic split from http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=34104.0
This topic concenrs SMF 1.1.14 and the other one was for SMF 2.0

Lavau,

Welcome to the TP Support Site.

Your topic was split from the one you originally posted in as that one was for SMF 2.0 and yours is for SMF 1.1.14.

Please explain a little better what is going on with your site so that we can help you.  It would also help if you insert the information requested in our Posting Guidelines into your next post in this topic.

Fixed : the file  /Themes/default/languages/TPortalAdmin.french-utf8.php
was lacking.
In emergency, I a have simply renamed an english version. It works now.
Pretty unusable before...

Lavau,

Yes, that is actually what I suspected might be happening.  Was it you that I asked in another topic what your default Forum language is?  I can't remember.  It's kind of early here and my eyes are only half open right now.  However, I should be able to get them open a little more in a few minutes.  I just sat down with my first cup of coffee of the day? ;) :)

TinyPortal only comes with English and English-utf8 as standard languages.  There is a fellow by the name of MkC that usually translates the TP language files into French but I don't know if he has done the translations for TP 1.0 RC2 yet.  I've asked him to upload the translations here when he has done them before but I've never been able to get him to do that.  It's usually available on his site though soon after a new version of TP has been released.  It's actually not too hard to do the translations yourself if you'd like to give it a try.  You seem to be fluent in English so it shouldn't be too difficult, it just takes a little time.  if you want to try it, I can tell you how to do so.  You could then upload them here for other French users and you would get the credit.  Up to you.
