Page this was on: http://www.reenactor.net/forums/index.php/page,164.html But I fixed it, as noted. I tried on another, WORKING book page and as soon as the edit window opened, BAM, it threw all the garbage in there :tickedoff:

Related Error messages: This is NOT cool. I have used this iframe book code for years and even if they (amazon) modify it, it works. For some reason, now (as in today) when we edit a book page, it is adding bits of crap code to the edit page and if we save it... it's screwed. I have to search and replace it in GoLive, then, paste in over the old code in the edit window and save. :tickedoff: WHAT a PAIN in the butt. Any ideas? My assistant is in Cali, I am in Penna. That noise you hear is ME banging my head on solid objects. >:(

Here is the code (I will leave mod list at bottom):
Good code (yes, asins #'s are diff, thats' not prob): <iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=reenactornet&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=114177979X&ref=tf_til&fc1=F5EDED&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=FFF100&bc1=000000&bg1=6A7E62&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Bad, effed-up code: <iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?o=1&amp;l=as1&amp;f=ifr&amp;t=reenactornet&amp;dev-t=D68HUNXKLHS4J&amp;p=8&amp;asins=1841766003&amp;IS2=1&amp;bg1=BCC0A7&amp;fc1=000000&amp;lc1=990000&amp;IS2=1&amp;lt1=_blank" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" height="240" width="120">

I'm pretty sure this is fixed in the next version. But just to make sure... What type of block are you using? Assuming HTML/javascript block?

Just to be clear, it save originally the first time without a problem. But when you edit the block that's when all the characters are changed?

sturmkatze

Yes, that's what it does. Yes, just html and whatever the iframe code is. It is in a single article. I think it's just a center block. On most web pages, i don't have lots of diff blocks. My site is complicated enough now... Is there a workaround? It was working fine until the other day.

IchBin

Are you saving the code in the editor's edit mode or code mode? If they editor is showing you need to click the <> button to get into code mode. You should then enter the iframe code and save.

sturmkatze

Code, of course. ::) I am not as think as everyone stupids I am... nah, I edit code w/ code. Anyway, the editor doesn't work that well and we've been having LOTS of problems w/ the images not showing. I have to go in and put the full path to them :-( AM hoping dragooon gets done w/ his exams to fix my fckeditor -- I know, you don't like it, but it IS necessary for my people... many of who do not know any coding. I digress...

Actually, the only way I got it to work was to edit it in something else, doing search and replaces to fix code and then pasting straight in to code window and hitting "save." Very irritating...

IchBin

Is this on reenactor.net? I can't remember the password on my account there. Can you reset it to something and send me an email or PM so I can test this out on your site? I can't replicate the issue ATM.

sturmkatze

Yes, it is. But I'm off to WWI this eve and am slammed. Have to pack and get dogs to kennel. :D Will reset it Sunday, is that cool?

IchBin

Sounds good, will wait to here from you then.
