Tp security mods?

Hey, ive been getting a lot of attacks on my forums and im going crazy ><
Yesterday i got a window saying it thought i was a bot which i never seen as mod before, so im wondering if you guys can tell me what kind of mods you are running in the hopes they can help me too. thanks

What versions of SMF and TP are you running? Please.

httpBL is the only mod we are running.

I had to log in today and it asked me to solve a captcha... what sense does it make to have to do a captcha if you have the correct user-name and password?

That is the httpBL mod I think. It checks your IP against their spam database. If you come up as a possible spammer, it makes you verify by sending you to the warning page. You can get your IP removed from their database by visiting the page at their site (add your ip to the end of the link).

I use that mod and am not in their db. I think it does that to all registered users the first time they login after it is installed as a check. After that you should have to use it again.

If you do then the settings need to be adjusted.

Looks like Project Honeypot is having problems of their own.

I tried honeypot (httpBL), and while it seems like as nice mod I've had excellent luck using Stop Spammer. Have yet to have a single bot get through. Heck, this is what it says right now in my admin.

8489 Spammers blocked up until today and I've been using this mod for oh, probably about a yr now.

BTW, I'm not saying not to use httpBL but just that I like Stop Spammer a lot.
