A Christmas Classic, Then and Now

In July, 1958, when she was only 13 years old, Brenda Lee recorded one of the greatest Christmas classics of all time.  It still remains one of the all-time classic Christmas songs, selling over 7 million records ...

In 1994, when she was 50 years old, she could still rock out around the Christmas Tree ...

Enjoy and Merry Christmas to everyone.

I grew up with that song, I never imagined she was 13 when that was recorded.  And I never would have guessed from the voice that she was fifty in the second one.

It won't let me use html.  :knuppel2:

:edited for you

As WillyP correctly surmised, the only ones who can make this work here are those with Admin access so if anyone wants to post their favorite Christmas music from YouTube here, just find your Embed code on YouTube and post it here and one of the Admins can edit your post to show the actual video here.  This will allow us all to enjoy the video.  For instance, I just found a nice mix of music on YouTube.  The embed code is as follows ...

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PN37QU7yoj4?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PN37QU7yoj4?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

It looks like this, once edited.  Enjoy ...

Gosh, I don't know what year this was first played on TV (the animation is a little choppy and the sound isn't the best) but this was always a favorite when I was a little younger.  Ah, just looked it up, first done in late 1958.  According to Wikipedia, the song "spent four weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from December 22, 1958 to January 12, 1959. It also earned three Grammy Awards and a nomination for Record of the Year."  Gosh, has it been 52 years since I first heard it?

Here's a later version with better sound.
