Hello everyone,

Been reading about TP for awhile. First time trying to install, and first post here on the forums.

First, so that you can see the issue that I am having the site in question is www.scourgebusters.com (a WoW guild website). The problem that is happening here is that no content appears on the front page after the initial install. In addition, there is no Tiny Portal heading in the admin area:

What do I need to do to remedy this issue?

As a quick update, I did find that if I make a post in the news forum, it shows up on the front page. But still no admin section.

What is your default language setting?

Try setting it to English, and see if the TP admin shows up.

Hello natefish,

Welcome to the TP Support Site.

Because you are using SMF 2 RC3 and TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5.2, the TPAdmin section is no longer part of the SMF Admin section like it was in previous versions.  When you are logged in as an Admin, TP will have it's own Admin area and will have it's own menu tab at the top.  I am unfamiliar with this theme, but since it is a premium theme from DzinerStudio (http://www.dzinerstudio.com/), they should be able to tell you where this menu tab is located if you are using the SMF 2.0 version of the theme.  However, I doubt that they will be willing to help you since you have removed their copyright notice from the theme (that's generally a no-no).

If you can't find the TPadmin tab on this theme, you can switch to the SMF default core theme (Curve) and the location of the tab will become obvious to you.

Let us know if this helps. ;)

Thanks! I didn't know that removing the copyright was a bad thing. :(  I figured since I paid money for it, it would be fine. I try to keep the copyright info for the free stuff visible (the SMF and TP copyrights are there. :P )

I have found everything I needed and all is going great now. Just need to get it all setup the way I want now is all. Thanks for all the help.

As a side-question: I want to move the tinyportal link down from where it is, to by the other information in the footer (and also correct the link so it comes here, instead of the old TP site). Where do I find the line of code that is placing the TP copyright where it is?

natefish,

As with most theme authors and software authors, DezinerStudio has a policy wrt their copyright.  You can read it in their terms of use, Under #6, Modifications, on this page --> http://www.dzinerstudio.com/index.php?page=Terms_of_Use

I will have to do a search for where the TinyPortal Copyright is located in this version as it has changed in the latest version.  As for where the link goes (currently the old site which is tinyPortal.net), Bloc has stated that he will be changing this in the next version.  I wouldn't worry about changing where the link goes until then.  As soon as I find out where the code is, I will post it.  It may not be until tomorrow unless one of our other Team Members knows off the top of their head where it is located.  In that case, I'm sure they will respond before I can get to it.
