TP's front page "Recent TP Support" question,

What setup is that in TP admin?  I dont recognize the posters name with the date.

Mick,

I'm not sure I understand the question. :) Are you asking what kind of block it is?

In looking at it, I would guess that this is a block that Bloc wrote specifically for the bottom panel on the FP only in which he used ssi_boardNews just to show the the last 3 topics posted to the support board (Board #25), with a little extra code thrown in to change the color of the subject and the avatar.

If that's what he did, the basic code to pull the posts would be easy but I'd have to think about the color change of the subject and the avatar.  The basic code would be something like what I mentioned to you in a previous post about a week or so ago, something like this ...

$result=ssi_boardNews(25,3,0,300, 'echo');

... where 25 is the board number, 3 is the number of topics, and 300 is the number of characters.

Its actually a test of a new blocktype just present in a single theme. A theme can now hook into TP with its own types, both that one and the one to the left does this. The left one renders articles from a category and to boot, in full article mode,actually uses the "illustration" field of blocks to render a adapted picture-in-full. The theme overrides the normal behaviour of only using the 128px sized picture in layout 4 only, and shows it in layout 1 instead.

So yes, its custom code. Its fetching latest boardNews from a board indeed, with avatars thrown in..plus some css to make it look nice.

This code is not released yet, its still in testing, but when it does it will be a part of Envision theme(or others) - but not part of TP itself.

Thank you guys,.... i knew it wasnt on the current TP version.  I looked for it and went crazy while trying to find the combination.    lol..

Good work bloc.
