hello all!  :coolsmiley:

my question is that the Article automatically come on the homepage when we post in a forum.

for example if i posted a topic in forum1, then this topic will automatically be shown on the homepage as Article, but when we click on it, it will lead to the topic.

i dont want to show any topic as article, how to do this?

I have smf2.0 rc3 and latest version of TP.

Are you saying that this happens, so this is a problem you want to be fixed? Or are you saying this is a feature that you want someone to write for you?

It looks like you want the most recent posts to show on the front page, but I'm not sure.

Heloo rickyponting66,

Welcome to TinyPortal.

Since you are new here, it will help us a lot, in the future, if you get in the habit of including the information requested in the TinyPortal Posting Guidelines in the support topics you start since it helps us when trying to come up with an answer to your questions.  Specifically the template at the bottom of that topic is almost always required although sometimes other information may also help.  I have included the template here for your future reference ...

SMF version: SMF ver. here
TP version: TP ver. here
Theme name and version: Theme name here
Browser Name and Version: Browser name/version here

However, you did mention that you are using SMF 2.0 RC3 and the latest TP, which I assume is TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1 so I should be able to give you the answer from that.

If you click on the TinyPortal Menu at the top of your page  and then click the 4th icon on the top row (the globe, which is the FrontPage Settings), you will see a section called "What to display on frontpage:".  In there, you will see a list of 9 items from which you may choose.  For instance, you may choose to "Go directly to forum index" which will cause your FP to show the Forum Board Index, basically turning off the FrontPage.  You could experiment with this setting to find just the right look for your FrontPage.  If you tell us what you want to appear on your FP, we can tell you how to achieve that.

Edit:  Sorry JP Deni, I didn't realize you had posted until I already posted.  Ricky, JPDeni is correct.  We have many block code snippets available to help you to make your FP look the way you want, but to just not show any topics or articles, simply choose one of the FrontPage Settings that won't show those. ;)
