I'm trying to make a block Viewable only by Guests (not logged in)

I select only viewable by guests when i make the html block

but as i suspected all those of Guest Access or higher can see it

I'm sure theres a way to make it only viewable by guests but i can't find anything on the forum as to how

shane is my name

Thats odd, it works correctly for me, and Im using the same smf & TP versions you are...

I have a few blocks set for "guests only"... And Im only able to see those blocks when I log out...

The admin can still see the blocks if you have:
TinyPortal / Settings / "Admin can see all blocks" checked "YES".

sorry i thought i'd stated that the block is in the front panel

I have tested that too.. (set it to "NO")

i'm saying that when I log in as a normal user and i have a front panel block set as guest only normal regisatered members are seeing it also

it may be a bug with front panel blocks .. i duno thats why i'm asking

yes .. i have other blocks on the front panel that anyone is allowed to see .. (eg a recent topics php block), I've made like a please log in block that i only want guests and those not logged in to see. I've set it to guests only but everyone can see it.

BlueSteel, just tested this on my testsite, and it's doing the same as yours.

Choose your membergroups that will able to see this block. Set to guests only.

Checked also in Admin / Block Access, set to guests only.

Logged in with a test account and can still see the block.  Logged in in a test group also can see the block.

Also tried "Admin can see all blocks?" set to No. Can still see the block.  :smiley6600:

Edit:  Also tried setting so guests can't view, and I can still see the block when not logged in.  ???

Edit:  Tried the same settings with Right/Left blocks and works as expected.

If someone wouldn't mind filing a bug report it would be much appreciated.
