First sorry for the english!

I will use a picture for a better understanding:

[1] I want to increase the number of forums from which to extract the latest topics. How I Can?

[2] I have a test forum and I find that I can edit the number of last topics, but in my current forum, I can not. Always display  ââ,¬Å"5ââ,¬Â after saving. What can be?

The number of boards to select are fixed for now - in the future ther might be possible to add more.

The error for number of posts was corrected in beta 5-1, so try updating to that.

Thanks Bloc, we are moving our site from joomla to TP, and still do not have much practice.

It would be a great improvement, forums like mine have many forums, subforums etc

This is primarily designed to show the most important "News" about your Forum from up to 5 boards.  Most people only show posts from one board.  If you try to show too many posts from too many boards on your Front Page, it clutters up the Front Page, makes it too long to scroll down to read everything,  and, oftentimes, will just confuse your members.  I've never understood why people want to show posts from 10 different boards on the FP but, to each his own I guess. ::)

In our case, we have 12 major issues, a total of 30. And that only impotant issues with community news, which for a non-registered visitor, it is important to look at the frontpage. If the visitor had to search the forums, go crazy, but look for in a frontpage highlighting the best of these forums, is easier.

We even have a mod that introduces the topics prefixes. We buy it to put several forums into one. We bought it because we had to unite into one subjects to adjust to the limits of 5 topics PT

in our comunity we desire this all organized and easily accessible.

and do not use the article system because we want a total integration of our users + the forum +  frontpage.

In theory adding more forums to be searched for the recent topics, isn't that different from searching just one forum. The database will use a little more resources during the fetching, but MySQL was built for this sort of thing anyway.

Whats held me back so far, is primary the need(?) and a proper interface for it. Both which seemed to have changed nowadays. In addition, my coding skills have improved, so its less of a problem to accomplish what I like to do.
