Yeah, going along with what BlueSteel says, it's usually best to start your own support topic with a descriptive subject and, if it helps us to figure out what's going on, feel free to reference another topic that someone else started.  It helps us to keep the issues separate and be able to mark them solved when they are indeed solved.  Also, it may not be apparent but the more information that you can give us in your OP, the less work we have to do trying to figure out the things that we need to know, and the quicker the answers will come.  That's one reason why we always stress to people that they should use the posting template from the Posting Guidelines in their first post. ;) It's always better if you try not to make us guess what browser you are using, or what version of something you're using, or what theme you are using, if possible.

The login redirect should follow the TP admin setting - I will check if this is working.

Works fine on my testsite, a fresh install of RC3 and TP 1b5.  By default though the front page is set to redirect to forum.  If that's relevant. ;)

Crip

Redirect to Front page / Forum => RC3 / TP beta 1.0 5-1 works either way on mytest.
I have become comfortably numb!

Ok, thanks a lot, Bluesteel and Zarprime! I'll try and stick with those guidelines in the future!

Hi,

I poste here all issues I saw on TP1b5 only :

- after login

it is not redirecting to frontpage always on forum, option is on frontpage in my admin

- blank left column

with my template I have blank left column more

but before 1b4 it was the normal left TP column

- articles background

Now all my articles have green background and befor it was standard temlplate background

- TP add \ in html code :

editing articles from 1b4 is destroying structure and pictures insert is not working.

code example auto generate by TP in articles :

<p>Grande nouvelle : la rubrique Polaris du SDEN renaît de ses cendres après de trop longs mois dââ,¬â,,¢absences !</p><div align=\\\\\\\"center\\\\\\\"><a href=\\\\\\\"http://www.sden.org/polaris/\\\\\\\"><img alt=\\\\\\\"sden-polaris\\\\\\\" src=\\\\\\\"tp-images/Image/communaute/sden-polaris.jpg\\\\\\\">

- articles title :

We can't add space or - in title they are remove.

Hi bad news

I tried 1B5-1 this evening and same issues on my forum :(

+ green background articles

Then I go back in 1b4

Blue Steel

all my old articles are displaying fine (those that don't use old theme/style variables in them.. those that do i simple edit them to match the new style names..)
Images are all displaying fine from bith local and external sites

you must remember to please state what version of SMF your using too.. as mine i'm using is for SMF 2 RC3 ..
I think that a lot of these problems are occuring because Bloc has written TP1.0 Beta 5 on SMF 2 .. which has changed the default theme and style sheets. also (as far as i know) TP 1.0 Beta 5+ no longer actually changes the default SMF themes like the older TP's did. so anything that relied on those changes will look and possibly act differently if you don't modify old references

What theme caused the green background articles?? Did it do this in the default theme? If not then that is a theme issue and not a TP issue.

I don't understand why with TP1b4 all is fine but with auto update TP1B5-1 I have all these issues.

yes my template is older one but work fine with TP1b4 and SMF 1,1,11

and other issues (not green problem) are not template issues

Blue Steel

because the themes from 1b4 don't work on 1b5+  they aren't compatable

and you don't auto update to TP1.0b5

you have to uninstall tp1.0b4 first .. then install tp1.0b5-1

lbuisson

in package manager SMF1,1,11 I have TP1b5-1 propose

nothing is showing to say uninstall first 1b4

then now I know I will try with unistall and see if it is better.
