[Installation] Subs.php Test failed
« on: April 02, 2010, 02:36:26 PM »
Hi I'm just trying to install TP for the first time on my smf website but as I go to "apply mod" an error is returned

11.   Execute Modification   ./Sources/Subs.php   Test failed

What would be causing this and how do I resolve it?

Another mod that you have installed has most likely modified the file where TP is trying to change it. You have the following options in order of least to most difficult.

1. If you don't have many mods installed, it could be easiest to uninstall the mods, install TP first. Then install the other mods. If you run into a conflict move on to the next suggestion.
2. If this is the only failure, you can continue with the install. Then manually modify the file to make the changes that TP requires. You can get the changes for those files on the mod page at SMF by clicking the parse button. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=97
3. Manually install the whole TP mod. This requires uploading all the files that TP requries, modifying the SMF files, and running TP database installer.
