How do I change the size of the stats block, looks awful when there are more than 20 members online as a scroll bar appears down the right hand side.

clothahump,

If you give us a link to your site so that we can see it in action, one of us might be able to come up with an answer for you.

Only occurs when there are more than 20 members on line.

clothahump,

Each time I have looked at it, there has only been 1 person online.  I have a couple of questions.

1.  When more people are online, does the block expand downward to accommodate the extra names?

2.  This doesn't look like the standard TP Stats block.  Is this a block that you have created just to show the users online?  If so, can you attach the code you are using here using code tags (insert code = #).

3.  Does the same thing happen when viewing the block with the default SMF theme?

1. No, that is the problem.
2. standard tp block.
3. will check next time it happens.

ZarPrime

OK, WRT these questions ...

On #1, the block now shows 10 members online and it is taller than it was when only 1 person was online.  So, yes, it does obviously get taller when more people are online.

On question #2, look at the Stats block on this site (bottom left corner).  Do you see that it not only shows "Users Online", but also shows "Members" and "Stats"?  On your site, I only see "Users Online" (see attached image).  I guess what I need to know is what you have done to show just the "Users Online" in your block.  Did you edit code somewhere to do this or does this block contain special code of your own design?

Finally, a 4th question.  Does this scroll bar when there are more than 20 members online happen in a particular browser, or in all browsers.  What particular browsers have you seen this happen in?

Answer to question 2 in the attachment, the code is the standard code as far as I know.

4. I have only tried viewing it in Firefox.

ZarPrime

Ah, OK, you're right.  My bad. :idiot2: I had forgotten that Bloc had enabled Admins to choose from 1, 2, or all 3 of those items in the Stats block.  OK, well, then, keep an eye on it and LMK when you have more than 20 login and if I'm online at the time, I'll take a look at it.  There may be a setting in a css file that will remove the scroll bar.

It is just the Users online bit that causes the problem, just enabled all three items and it stretches OK, need another few members on to get the scroll bar though.

in the Themes/default/TPBlocks.template.php file search for this line:
<div style="max-height: 23em; overflow: auto;">';

Change the max-height to what you want it to be or remove it. That should allow you to have more users without scroll.
