Articals will display on frontpage

In settings for TP, I am unable to get the articles to appear beneath the news, only the forum which I do not want on the front-page.

When you create the article are you checking the option to show it on the frontpage?

I went to check to make sure and I do have it chosen to be displayed on frontpage, I also have it set as a feature.

But in settings for T_P, for the frontpage, where it asks what you want shown, 'forum', or 'articles', or both etc, it ignors all commands.  To me, it looks tacky to have your forum on your frontpage.  I have tried it with other themes and it is still the same way.

I wonder could it be tied in with the time I had two instances of Tiny Portal installed?  Then I was getting the permission error, and when I un-installed T_P I regain my permissions, but lost this ability.

If the error is within T_P due to my mishandling, would removing T_P complexity and then re-installing it solved the problem?  I thought of that before but I am apprehensive in doing so with not knowing if I might make matters worst.

It's worth a shot. Unistall TP and also I would remove the TP database tables, then reinstall TP and see how it is.

I went to do this, I had my finger on the trigger so speak and just got the funnest feeling like I was about to make the biggest mistake ever, so I chicken out.

Alrighty then, this is the case. I do not have a place to un-installed Tiny Portal in the admin section of the forum.  What I had was TP listed as a package along with others I have installed.  To the right of the list column it says.  apply mod list files   delete mod.

I can not un-installed it there as I did the second instance.  So what now?  I still cannot adjust the settings for the frontpage.

Upload a fresh batch of SMF 1.1 RC2 files overwriting the older files. This will restore your SMF installation to brand new files. Then install the TP mod again.

Hey, how do you get the forum to appear on the front page?  I actually want to do that!  Thanks.

I have no idea.  But under setting for T_P, if you will look on the line above the first page you will see a list and one is 'frontpage', choose it and more settings will open, here is where you choose what you want on the frontpage.  There's a list and one choose it only the forum and I guess this is the one you choose.  I can't say for sure because of them is working for me
