History has many examples of dictators/tyrants. It was their greed and self(ish) interests and not for the good or benefits of the general public. Let's hope that SMF survives.

I wouldn't go so far as to use such harsh words such as dictators/tyrants unless you have been intimately and personally involved.

You are right, I should not have used such harsh words to illustrate the point that it is dangerous to have one person controlling the whole system.

Things are looking better all bans lifted today. I think this will be resolved shortly. I hope.

Ah good, did they make an announcement on lifting the bans ?

I looked and publicly they haven't, probably on team boards.  But either way that is great progress...

That is good news but have they given everyone back their old positions? I just hope they don't stick to their old ways.

Dang I hate to say this but have you ever seen a quilt made by committee?

There has to be a project manager that makes the final calls and at days end even the dissenters have to stfu and do their agreed upon jobs.  I know that sounds harsh but that is the way all things successful come about except for blindass luck.

Generally on the net it is personality that is the breaking point and that is so damn weird because we all know on the net a person's personality comes about through the projection of others imaginings rather than actual reality.

Yeah, but sometimes there are things "behind the scenes" that the public knows nothing about that staff may not have bargained for or may not feel is right. Sometimes, you just have to speak your mind or make a stand.

It's true that someone should be in charge like a PM, but that project manager should be voted in by the Team. This person would be in that position because of a democracy. Not because they have power over the company and people because of the position they have put themselves in.
