Suggestion for the support board

Given the number of support posts made lacking set-up details, instead of having just a normal new post form, would it be feasible to have an additional form with various options for selecting the appropriate set-up (ie. everything that is requested in the existing posting guidelines), which would then add the details to the top of the new post?



PS. Not sure if this should be in this section, as it's related to the site, rather than TP, so feel free to move it.

It's something I'd been thinking about for a while, but only finally decided to post it up (actually trying to waste time while I figure out some methods/code for a new project)

Is this ESP?

I was actually working on this very thing this morning.  It is actually based on one of JPDeni's code snippets with a few extras thrown in.  There are still a few things to iron out with it and some testing on the team board before we make it available but it will be up soon.

I tend to think of it more as, 'Why the f*** can't I come up with ideas for my own site, yet can come up with endless ideas for other sites?'

haha, no doubt. There is a very easy way in SMF2 to add fields to the post when replying. If we can get Bloc to get TP ready for SMF2 RC2, maybe we can get him to add this feature at the same time.
