Seems that the Frontpage Editor is ignoring my viewing options - or at least some of them.  I am trying to get rid of the date and name from the top of the frontpage article but unticking the Viewing Options doesn't seem to do anything.  I can't find anything else that would alter it.  Think something is wrong somewhere.  Is there another way to do this?

I think these errors may have been fixed in the updated files for ver 0.86. Did you install the updated files yet?

Updated files?  Oops - I better go get em.  I never seem to read up enough about anything just put my head down and charge in.

Thanks

Well I uploaded all the files.  Even created a new frontpage article but as before I don't seem to have any control over the date.  Infact the viewing options at the bottom don't seem to apply to a frontpage article do they?  Even if I tick any of them nothing seems to happen.  Maybe I can do the same thing but this time using a block?

Yup that did it.  Created a center html/javascript block and put the code in there.  No date and no gap at the top now.  Neat as can be  ;D.

Darn - knocked my forum for 6 now.  Oops.

Edit:
Thought there was a way around it.  I just created a frontpage block and the put the site to show it instead of the article.  No more date or gap at the top and it doesn't show on the forum.  Great.  I am compiling a list of everything I do on my site for future reading - both for myself and visitors.  Forget a great deal of what I do to sites.  I am trying not to rip into the code as I have in the past and learn how to use the resources available.  Sorry for raising a stupid issue.
