I installed TinyPortal and SMF 2.0 and I have got my website kinda up and running. What I am unsure of is what to do now. I have no options inside the website that mean anything to me whatsoever. I cannot edit what I want the pages to say. When I try to register a new user my register button at the bottom does not work so I have nothing to click. Its almost like the button is embeded inside of the background. I would love to start using the tiny portal and SMF but I am very disappointed. I also purchased a theme (simple orange) and I do not have the links or buttons at the top of the page that sais home and what not. How do I get them?Any help would be awsome. Thanks

TinyPortal for SMF2.x has not been released at this point...

It won't be for some time yet.

As fussilet said, TP will not work with SMF2

As a side note, before you go ahead and buy things Im for one always check things so i know they work together before i spend money.
Dissapointed at free softwares is also one thing i cant understand, hard to demand things when they are free.

If you Install SMF1 instead, tp will work with out a fuss in the default SMF core theme, and if you read up on things, you would have known that other themes need you to add things manually for mods like TP.

Well I say I was running 2.0 but as I look its shows 1.1? I suspect but I am happy with what I have purchased I am unsure if I am missing something. How do I edit my webpages and where are the links at the top? Why cant I click register lol. I need to register.

I will admit I am a little frustrated and I will be honest, I have worked with trying to get this theme to work for over 2 hours. The theme works fine and I guess I am happy with it however I will be very honest when I say that i am not going to spend 30 more minutes reading all the guidelines from this forum for me to narrow down exactly where to post my question only for it to be answered 2 days later. I came to this forum because I had confidence that the people on it where smart and knew more about the issue than I. I do appreciate the help from whomever posted it however I do not feel like being told that I need to read the rules. Everyone is guilty of not reading where to post. I am going to click post on this and close my web browser only to never return to these forums. Like I said, thanks for the help guys.

The rules aren't for just you. They help us help you. If you follow the guidelines, we don't have to ask everyone every single time to provide a link to their site, or to find out what versions they are on, or to find out what theme is having a problem. To answer your questions it requires some information. How can you possibly think we would know an answer to something, when the problem would be 1 of 50 different things? How would I know what is wrong with your registration? For all I know, you could have installed 50 other mods. And your comment about waiting 2 days for a response... how long have you been here? Most of the time questions here are answered withing the hour. If it takes more than a day, its because its a tough problem that requires help from more than one person, or needs some one specifically on the team.

Delete everything you have.
Reinstall SMF.
Check out the functions.
If you have any problems go to the SMF site for help.
Install TP.
Check out the functions.
If you have any trouble, come back to the TP site for help.
Install your desired theme.
Check out both the SMF and TP functions.
If you have any trouble at this point, contact the theme designer.

Switch the forum to the default theme.
Install a mod.
Check out the function of the mod.
Switch the forum to your desired theme. (You may need to make changes to the theme in order for the mod to work.)
Check out the function of the mod in conjunction with your theme.

Repeat between the **s for as many mods as you want to add. If you run into any problems along the way, stop what you're doing and ask for help from the writer of whatever you have added. Don't go on until you know that each thing works the way you want it to work.
