Hello,
I currently have TP going direct to forum index, but I would like to display all my articles under it and I can't seem to figure out how to get it in the lower panel. Everytime I select lower panel it goes to bottom block and everytime I want it horizontal its vertical...

What are some neat ways to get my articles to display. I was going to use the SMF article mod but I wont be able to use html, only bbc. :(

Well, I don't know how that will look having your articles showing below the Forum Index rather than on the FrontPage but, if that's what you want to do, it's fairly easy.  I would first make sure that you have a lower panel block setup for each the articles you want to show (use the type "single article").  After that, it's a simple matter to set these blocks up to show the way you want them to.

You will need to explore this area of the Admin section and make sure the lower panel is turned on and set to show in the Forum
Admin --> TinyPortal --> Panels and Blocks --> Panels

While in that section, you can set the blocks to show horizontally or with 2 columns or whatever you want.  You'll just have to play with these settings to get the right look.

You might have to set the blocks to show on both the Front Page and the Forum since your FP is set to go straight to the Forum but I'm not sure.  This is not a setting that I have ever tried.

Good Luck, and post back if you need more help.

Ok, check out what I was able to do.

My next question is how many panels can I have in TP? How can I create one panel and keep adding the articles on there with out have to create an individual panel for each article.

In other words, I really dont want the FP feature of not being able to see the forum index.. and I just dont want to see recent post.

This is a toughy.

ps... look where the lowe panel is, isnt it suppose to be directly under my last forum. These are being displayed in the bottom panel, yet these are indeed in the "lower panel" block.

Well, let's see.

First question.  There are 6 panel types (besides the Front Panel which I don't use much).  You can only have 1 of each.  So, if you are using the lower panel, you can't have another lower panel.  You can add more blocks into the panel though.

Second, No, I think they are probably in the lower panel but because you have both the left and right panels both turned off, it looks the same as the bottom panel would look.  To see this, setup a temporary block in the left panel and turn that panel on in the Forum.  You'll see that the lower panel extends only the width of the Forum. For the question in the PS, the lower panel will be shown below the info center so it is shown correctly.

Try adding some more single article blocks to the lower panel.  Have your panel settings set for 2 columns and try experimenting with the width and height settings in the panel settings for the lower panel and see what happens.
