I have a general forum board and front page that is accessible to everyone and a limited access forum board.  I would like to make a front page for the limited access forum board.  Is that possible?  If so, how do I do that?

I'm not sure I understand what you want to do. Perhaps a more detailed description would help, but for now:

If you want to limit aspects of TP to certain Member Groups, you can.

• Blocks - Each block has Member Group Viewing Permissions.
  
• Articles (Pages) - Articles need to be in Article Categories before they work. Article Categories have  Member Group Viewing Permissions.
  
  If that doesn't help, please elaborate.

Yes that information does help.  What I want to know is how to make additional pages to put blocks and articles on and can you make buttons on the nav bar for those pages

For that you must add a button for each theme and the procedure will vary between themes.

You don't make additional pages for blocks and articles. You make articles that can have specific blocks which only appear with those articles.

I don't know if it'll help you to understand or not, but you can take a look at my site. It's a fan site for an actor, but there are a number of articles, some of which have blocks that apply only to them. Take a look at the Biography page, for example. All of the blocks on the right only appear with that article.

Thx JP, that page is worth a thousand words of explanation as far as how blocks work with articles.  That is really slick.  I have read in several places on the forums that add on pages are possible  in TP, so here is my question.
1) What are they and what can you do with them?

Add on pages are mostly likely articles. Think of articles as a way to add news, or custom pages to your site. Take a look at our docs for more info on tinyportal.
