No smiles diplayed in frontpage

Greetings to everyone;)

I have a problem with smiles (including custom one) and frontpage. When i create a post with smiles (including custom one) they are correctly displayed in the forum thread but when i put the thread as news using TP no image is rendered, i have only the textual keyword.

It's normal or there is a way to have the image displayed?

When you use the default theme - does it show the images then? Or is it like that both in default and Impulse theme?

It appears that you are missing a few things. One is the "forum" button as shown in the first image. There is a space there where it should be.

2nd, you are missing information to the left of the colons in your Stats block as shown in the 2nd image.

I believe you are either missing manual edits or are missing language strings for you language, Italian.

Thank you for point out that, in fact i noticed string are missing and i'm running it with english language but nothing is changed:)

In that case I can only assume its another mod that interferes. TP use the internal text/smilies rendering routine of SMF.

I made a fresh install of the forum with TP 1.04 but no lack. Even using default skins and no mod installed even standard smiles pack does not work:(

Unfortunately, it appears that you might be.   Of course, there has to be some logical explanation why your smilies aren't showing up in the News Post on the Front Page.  I have tried to duplicate this behavior on the Front Page of my test site to no avail.  In other words, the smilies are showing up fine on my site.

I think you mentioned that you have custom smileys enabled.  Could you disable this feature and go into your profile and select either the default smiley set or the classic set, and then go back to that post, edit it, and save it, and see if the smileys show up.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else that might cause this, other than an error in a custom smiley set.

One other thing to make sure of.  You don't have any other SMF Mods besides TinyPortal installed, correct?  If you do, what are they?

EDIT:  Another thing I just thought of.  Sometimes running repairsettings.php will fix problems with smileys.

Well i agree is pretty weird, i have no mod installed, default smiles icons and while posting into the forum the smiles works fine.

Well, I just looked at your site again, and you do have some custom smileys setup other than the default and classic sets.  Can you setup a test Admin acct. and PM me the details so that I can have a look inside.
