Related Error messages: The article isn't active, hasn't been approved yet, or simply does not exist

I had some help setting up my website.

We installed some new features on the site and managed to open it as iframe. All is made with articles and all coding is there i suppose. I did something wrong, but what, i dunno  :idiot2:

Try click on "application form" "vwar" "Gallery" in main menu, and you will understand my problem. It should work as it is displayed at the quick links box, if you select "Members" You can see it opens just fine. Ive noticed that when i look at the links, it says "Page=whatever" example "Page=vwar" Then i get a error saying "The article isn't active, hasn't been approved yet, or simply does not exist. " when i click on it.

I really dont get whats wrong  :-\, so if someone could offer to help me, i would give you access to my adminpanel via PM, and kindly ask what i did wrong if you find this out.

Have you assigned the articles top categories?  Are they supposed to be single articles pulling an external source? ie, external article?

I also see you are using TP ver1.0.5  I know many article errors/bugs have been fixed in the latest version.

Hehe, i don't know what he did. All i know is that i have in my articles section in adminpanel, category for each article that should be displayed. All coding is within the article. This worked just fine, until i did somthing bad. All i remember doing, was changing Theme, to see if i wanted to switch, but decided not to, so still use my old theme. Then i edited a file in FTP welcome.html, which shows the history about my clan etc. And i also deleted a lot of boards and topics in the forums.

I dunno if that helps, but i think this is an easy issue for someone that knows how this works.

I feel better letting someone who is more familiar with iframe and article setup with that to take a look.

Kim,

Post the code here, inside code tags, for one of the articles on your site that isn't working with the query, like the vwar page and I will stick it on my test site and try it.

Kim,

The reason that the articles aren't showing or say "not approved yet" is because the author of those articles is no longer a member of your forum.  The member's name is Inny.

This is a known issue in TP 1.0 beta 3 and beta 4 and has been fixed for beta 5 when it is released.  See the following bug ...
http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=bugtracker;sa=bug531

The current solution is to make a copy of the article and resubmit it as Admin under your own account.  I have done just that with the VWar article, though I didn't change the menu to point to the one I created.  You can see the one I made here ...
http://www.theoaps.com/index.php?page=8

I will leave it up to you to make copies of the articles submitted by Inny and resubmit them under your own username.  You will then have to change your menus to point to the newly created articles.

I also highly suggest that you upgrade to TP 1.0 beta 4, or at least upgrade to the next beta once it comes out if you don't yet want to upgrade to beta 4.

Yeah, you are right !  8)

I did delete him as user recently since i had a cleanup of the database after changing sites usage. I was not aware of this so many many thanks for helping me out. I would never see that myself.  :uglystupid2:

You saved me alot of work and painful moments now.

Very satisfied !
