Success story!!!

[bobzr]

hi all, I would like to share my success story in updating from 0.98 to 1.04 and thank the developer and contributors for their great job. TinyPortal is now a mature software, shouldnt you even think about remove that "beta" .
I must admit that I was sort of scared to update, especially after reading some horror stories of those who had problems in the process. Of course most people would write when they get some problems to ask for help and not just for saying hey guys I did it it's ok.

Some minor features I miss from 0.98: no more "featured articles" choice for frontpage?
And where's gone the number of view/comments on the intro text of the articles shown in the frontpage?

Some features I would like to see: Comments in articles should be notified to Admin.
Members with privilege "Submissions are always approved" should be able to write... "always approved" articlesl! they don't right now and I always get a "The article will become active as soon as an administrator has approved it."

Anyways, thanks again for the great job to all the TP team!

Thank you.

I am glad you like it and yes, these things you mention are being worked on. The beta 5 will hopefully be the last beta. After that we can finally move onto a stable version of v1.0.
