Delayed Posting Issues

Sorry to have taken so long to return with a resolution but even though *my* site died... I figure you might come across the issues again and want to pass the 'solution' on to others if they report problems.

Firstly the site slowdown: Seems it *was* caused by Askimet 1.1.1. After the demise of my site I passed the suggestion on to someone else with a similar problem. They uninstalled Askimet and everything returned to normal!! The issue was noted on my original thread in the SMF support forum in case anyone else needs a possible solution.

Secondly the 'jumping': This is *entirely* an IE8 thing. Lord knows what was causing it but until they fix the browser the simplest solution is not to use it.
