Nice job on the theme Crip.  I have three issues or questions for you.

The Forums on my site look like one long list.  They arent sep. and distinct blocks like the demo.

I cant seem to get whose online, recent topics and such to show.  When I switch back to my old theme, they show up.

the buttons under block manager are in an error state, yet functional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pendarren,

Welcome to TinyPortal.

First of all, I don't see the Remix theme on your site.  It looks like it's currently using the IronWoW theme.  It would be hard to diagnose your problem without seeing what it looks like with the theme you're talking about.

Secondly, I looked at you site with the SMF default theme as well and I don't see any blocks at all.

This may be a support issue more than an issue with a theme.  Can you explain a little better what is going on here.  Depending on what you say, I may have to move this to the support board.  Is it just that you are having trouble getting blocks to show up?

Are we talking about the Remix theme or the IronWoW theme?  I don't see any blocks showing, even with the SMF default theme.  There are 2 possibilities here.

1.  The theme you are using is not made to work with TP 0.98.

2.  You have all blocks set to not show to guests.

One or the other of these is probably the problem.  Please explain.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.  I did find another posting that referred to not having the correct version for my site.  I tried another and the Forums button did show up.  I disabled the blocks on the main page.  The only remaining issue I am trying to figure out now is how to get the jpg image across the top to fit in that whole black space regardless of the size of monitor people have.  We found that people with a 17" monitor get a very different view than those with 19"+

Does this make any sense?

Your banner is only - 875 : x : 190 & it doesn't repeat , so there s only one possibility i know is To Center the image leaving Black space on each side of it

..........also , you posted in the wrong Thread [Theme] Remix <=== isn't ====> [Theme] IronWoW !

Crip,

Do you want me to split these posts out and merge them into the IronWoW topic?

Pendarren, if what you are trying to do is have your banner image stretch all the way across no matter the screen resolution, there is no way that I know of to do this with just a single static image.  In essence, the way to do this is to split your image into a left , middle, and right image, where the middle image is just a small vertical slice.  Of course the problem with the text in the image (Dude, It's a Game) would remain.  That complicates it.  What you would have to do is split that text into it's own image and then overlay it as a transparent image on top of the 3 background images.

The 2 topics below talk a little bit more about how to split the banner background up into 3 images and some editing of the index.template.php file for the theme would be required.

http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,27489.msg218855.html#msg218855 and the post above and below it.

Anyway, it could be done, but somebody with a little more knowledge of how to put this in the php file and adjusting the CSS to make it work would be required.  It involves the use of either divs or table cells to make it work correctly.

Crip, I have split it out as a new Topic and moved it to Support instead of merging it with IronWoW, as I think it is more of a Support issue than a theme issue.  I will send a PM to pendarren and let him know if he wants to continue with it..
