xum,

Welcome to TinyPortal.

SMF Mods are designed to work with the SMF default theme.  If you want to make them work with a custom theme you must make some edits to a file or files of the custom theme.  To figure out what changes to make, you need to use the package parser on the page of the Mod you are installing.  The package parser is located on the top right of the Mod page right below the various versions of your Mod.  simply select the version of the Mod and the version of SMF you are installing it on, and submit it and you will be given the needed edits.

xum,

Well, that's fine.  However, I told you how to make your Mods work with custom themes.  We can support the TP Mod here and how to make it work with custom themes but if you need help to make other Mods work with custom themes, you must be willing to ask the author of the SMF Mod for help.

For instance, if you want to know how to make the AjaxChat Integration Mod work in this theme, then you need to go to the page for that Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1319).  On the right side, below the box where it says "Download this mod", you'll see a radio button for the Mod and a dropdown menu to select what version of SMF you are using.  After selecting these, click parse, and you will be taken to a page that will show you the edits that are made when you install the Mod in the SMF default theme.  If you want to make the same edits for a custom theme then you need to make all the same edits for the appropriate files in the custom theme.  If you can't figure out how to do these edits for a custom theme then you must ask the author of the Mod how to do it in their topic on SMF.  For instance, the topic for the AjaxChat Integration on SMF is located here ---> http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=257973.0

That is all we can do.  Again, if you need more help making a Mod other than TinyPortal work with a custom theme, you need to ask the Mod Author for assistance.

Finally, I am splitting the parts of of this topic for this issue out of the original topic and moving it to Support as it really has nothing to do with Crip's Century theme and everything to do with making a Mod work in any custom theme.
