I did a search and came up with a thread that only half solved my problem. So here goes...

Articles displayed on my frontpage have date and frame showing. But my settings for the articles are as follows:

Display: use just the title
Viewing options details: NONE are checked
Others: Override frontpage settings when displayed on frontpage is checked.

This solved the date displaying problem for only ONE of the articles on the frontpage (Welcome...) while the other 2 (with the same settings) still show the date.

I checked to make sure my settings were actually saving my looking at the database in PHPmyadmin, and the "nofrontsetting" is listed. What am I missing?

And all 3 articles still use the blue-ish background color.

Theme: custom, BUT I switched to the default theme to test and it does the same thing on there.

Check the bug tracker and you'll see that there is a bug fix for the article display options in the next beta.

You actually have to search from withing the bugtracker separately.
