I did a search and I couldn't find anything specific to the problem I am having.

Link to my site: http://www.bamanation.net
SMF version: SMF 1.1.8
TP version: TP 1.0 Beta 3
Theme name and version: Default
Mods installed: None significant to this problem
Related Error messages: No error messages

When building an article, or trying to view one that is already active.  For some reason it just lists the name of the article... in the article.

Example: The link here, http://www.bamanation.net/index.php?page=74 , take you to a page that just lists the specific article i'm trying to view?  It's got to be something with the settings, but I can't figure it out.  It seems like this kind of article/viewing/displaying has been a problem for the last few releases.  It's like there's a work around for it, but the actual problems are still there.

When I look at the category, the article is fine... http://www.bamanation.net/index.php?cat=130

Can anyone help?

bloc

That is most likely the category setting of showing articles as just links, interfering with the display of full article.

I gone through and cleaned up the code for this for beta4 , as there were smaller errors here and there, mostly due to the change of what an article show.

As of now it isn't a easy fix for it, too many code sections have been changed and moved.

thanks bloc,

Well... I checked the category settings, and I still can't get the article to display properly.  Is there anything I can do for now to have it to where the article looks ok?  I don't care about the category view, I was using that part for a reference.

bloc

Try resetting all the options for the article, turn off "use category settings" and then see if it shows ok.

insanemustang

turning off
Quoteuse category settings
did not work

how do I reset all of the option for the article?

bloc

It should be enough to save with no options selected. But I am starting to think it migh be an older file somewhere..

Does the theme contain its own TPortal.template? And have you made sure all TP files are the latest..?

insanemustang

The theme is the default.  To my knowledge the files are all the latest tp.

insanemustang

How can I know if I somehow don't have all of the latest tp files?

IchBin

It wouldn't hurt to upload all the files just to make sure. Upload the TP files from the manual install.
