Shoutbox not appearing

I just installed Beta 1 and the shoutbox block is not appearing.  Here's the steps I took.

1) Went to modules
2) Installed TPShout
3) Created a new TP Module block and saved it
4) Reloaded the page and selected the radio button next to TPShout and Saved
5) Enabled the block for the right hand of my site, saved

The block just isn't showing up.  Did I miss something?  It's the killing authority link in my sig.

What options have you selected for the block for where it shows?

It is a right panel block, and here's the options....

- TPShout
- Use frame from theme
- All boxes for all user groups are checked
- No boxes checked for editing
- Do not allow block to collapse

It would really help us to help you if you had Read and Replied to the Posting Guidelines as Renegd had asked you to.  If you had looked at that topic, at the bottom is a template of sorts that will help you to post the information about your site that we need, like the version of SMF and TP you use, the theme, a link to your site, etc.

In any case, when Ichbin asked you "What options have you selected for the block for where it shows?" he was referring mostly to the visual options for where the block is to show.  We can't tell you exactly where to look to check that because you haven't told us what version of TP you use.  If you are using beta 3, then when you edit the block, at the bottom of the edit screen there is some writing there and then a "[Show]" and a "[Hide]" link.  If you click show, then the visual options screen will be shown.  This is different in previous versions of TP.  This is why Renegd asked you to Please Read and Reply to the Posting Guidelines.

Zarprime I am sure he has not used the Hide Show options and that is why he is not seeing the shoutbox because it does not know where to show it.

Please see the attached picture, you will see next to:   Show where the block should appear:   the Show/Hide links.

I'm fairly certain that you are correct.   Problem is that previous versions before beta 3 didn't have the visual options like that.  Anyway, if he can't figure it out, I'm sure he'll let us know. :up:
