Hi Everyone,

I just upgraded to TP v1.0 beta3 from 0.983 - smf 1.1.8, just trying to edit my articles as they are currently coming up "The article isn't active, hasn't been approved yet, or simply does not exist. " made my changes, click save but its not doing anything.... the article is also showing as being active when i try to edit it but still not showing.. any ideas?

Thanks  :)

Articles must be in the category to be able to appear or active.

Bec

im kind of gathering that but i had problems with this after upgrading Missing articles after upgrading

the articles had to be put in category 0 for them to show in tp but now I cannot edit them..... can someone please advise on a solution.

Bec,

Have you created any categories since I helped you in that other topic?  the issue on that one has been placed in the bugtracker for Bloc to look at, but he hasn't looked at it yet.

If you don't yet have any categories, create a category and try to place a couple of your articles there and see if you can edit them.  Come back here and let us know what you find out.

ZarPrime,

I have a few articles that have a form script (html) inserted from www.emailmeform.com these ones will not let me save, and also are not showing the intro text box as well, so maybe the code from the form is messing with it and not allowing it to load properly (only difference between it and the normal articles)

The other ones that don't have this form script are loading properly and do allow me to save into the new category, but once saved it reloads the page the contents are gone. Click on the preview and it has deleted the contents of the article. Exited the article and went back in and the contents have been deleted.

I'm thinking it might just be easier for me to recreate the articles.

Thanks for following the other up as well :)

Ok something interesting, I just created a new article with html, saved it as a html article, once saved the contents vanished. Did a preview and it was an empty document.

So I put some normal text in and also tried some more html, after saving it ended up showing the normal text but the html was gone...

** Just did another one with html without clicking the html icon or hide html just pasted the info into the document and it saved and is showing correctly... im pretty sure im not doing anything wrong given that its pretty much the same way ive always done everything..... but if I am I would love to know! you can see the preview of this one here

Click on the html icon to edit it and the contents just disappeared again...

Correct, several bug reports about this now in the bugtracker.....

one thing you can do is save your HTML code in a phpbox type block. Then change the block type to HTML/javascript. That will save the code properly until you edit it again. :)

Yes, I ran into the same problem and worked out the same solution.
