Hi everyone,

i am just wondering what would be the best way for me to upgrade from tp 0.983 to the latest release? sorry if this has been asked before, i have looked through all the old topics but i want to ensure i am doing everything right to avoid any unnecessary trouble. these are the error messages i get when trying to uninstall

1.     Execute Modification     ./index.php     Test failed
2.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Load.php    Test successful
3.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/index.template.php    Test failed
4.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/babylon/index.template.php    Test successful
5.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Subs.php    Test failed
6.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php    Test successful
7.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Security.php    Test successful
8.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Errors.php    Test successful
9.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/style.css    Test failed
10.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/Help.template.php    Test successful
11.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Profile.php    Test failed
12.    Execute Modification    ./SSI.php    Test successful

the ones that i had errors on should i still go ahead with the uninstall and then manually remove the codes from the files or is there a better way?

i have alot of mods installed, should i try and remove all of them so im starting on a clean slate and then try to remove it again?

thanks in advance!  ;)

Yes, continue with the uninstall, and then manually remove the TP code from the files.

I have the same problem. How do I manually remove the TP code from the files? Do you mean I should delete the index.php file?

Any link on how to do this?

By manually removing the code we mean you have toe dit the files thst TP puts code into and remove that code.

How do I manually install TinyPortal

if you read that document and see that it explaing how to manually instally TP you would just reverse the process and go thru each file that gets modified during install and remove the code TP put in there.
