Articles Malfunctioning

Mods installed: Only TP.

There are three problems:

• Articles only display to guests (visitors that arn't logged in).
• There are two articles that have been deleted, but are still displayed (for guests).
• Articles are only displayed at the bottom of the Frontpage.

If you visit my website as a guest, you'll see two excel spreadsheets (two articles), that have been deleted but are still displaying.

Thanks for the info. It really helps us to sort through what the problem could be. Because of the info you provided I have ruled out multiple causes. Unfortunately, I can't think of any reason why it would be acting this way. If you would like, I can take a look at you isntall? Please PM me with a temp admin account if you'd like.

A couple of things you can test though. Test the default core theme to make sure the same thing appears there. Also, are there any errors in your log that could be related? Also try creating a couple of new articles and see if these articles act the same as the deleted ones.

Here are my solutions to my problems:

• Articles only display to guests (visitors that arn't logged in).  [Fixed: If I sticky an article, it is displayed to members as well.]
• There are two articles that have been deleted, but are still displayed (for guests).[Not fixed]
• Articles are only displayed at the bottom of the Frontpage.  [Fixed: If I sticky an article, it is displayed at the top.]

So for now, I just need the 2nd problem fixed.  I have no way of accessing the articles, so I have no idea how to fix it other than reinstalling TP.

What to display on frontpage:
Only forum-posts
Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date
Only articles
Featured article with frontpanel
Frontpanel
Go directly to forum index
TP module

How frontpanel will be shown with content:     
Hide frontpanel, unless otherwise selected.
Frontpanel will be added before content
Frontpanel will be added after content

As for Articles not deleting.. I'm not sure what that is.

Make sure you have the Article settings correct and that you understand the Inherit Settings from Category. All articles must be assigned to Categories before they display. Categories have Member Viewing options.
