Upgrade to 1.06 gone bad - missing block/article/and other TP Admin pages

I just started upgrading my boards to SMF 1.8 and TP 1.06. Had to stop at the first one.
When i try to access the tp admin sections such as "settings and frontpage" - "panels and blocks" ect... I get a blank page.

The only pages showing up are download admin, and tp advshout box.

Any one care to take a stab at this one?

Was the install/upgrade successul with no error's?

yes no errors on the install using the package manager

was afraid of that, never had a problem with installing tp in the past. guess my luck ran out

You will be better off having done it at least once manually. You will learn alot along the way.

Most likely an editor you have used automatically placed the escaped characters.

solved, was theme related. i had to move the tp files into the custom theme directory.

You shouldn't need any tp files in a custom theme, unless you're going to customize the look of TP.
