Yes there will be a release for SMF 2.x at some point, but no date has/will be set.

Probably not before SMF goes final. TP2 is in progress, but not yet released to Alpha team, cant say when a release is made for them more then when Bloc feels it's time to.

For real dont you think that this anserw (it's ready, when it's ready) is like go search google.com ? I know and understand work of TP Team but... guys, other mods will smash and beat this project, and what then? I mean no infos about progress where devs are right now... no any changlog.

Why would we put a time limit on Bloc and his personal life? I'm sure Bloc has every intention of getting TP2 out before SMF2 goes final. But why would I say that he's doing to do that when no one will ever know if he has the time to be able to finish it? All we can say is that he works on it when he can. Why would we say anything else?

And TBH about other mods, I really could care less. TP will come when its ready. TP is good enough and has far more features than most other portals that I am willing to wait for as long as it takes until that day comes.

Yes. What then? Those of us who like TinyPortal will still have it. Those who want to go to another portal will go to it. Some of them will come back.

Your concerns might be valid if TP was something that people had to pay for. Competition between things that are free is a bit pointless.

Yes, I know that Bloc is doing all the best as he can on this project. I dont want push anyone to release software that could have lot of bugs and security issues. It's only thing that im curious at what part of developing is TP2 right now. What is works fine now, what not etc.

Then perhaps you should ask that question first instead of when its going to get released? It is of course being worked on. The conversion process for SMF's new database model has taken quite some time. Now its a matter of plugging it in, and making things work they way they should in SMF2. That is about all I can say really.
